Introduction
Overview
Our platform supports Single Sign-on (SSO) authentication through two primary methods:
- Single Sign-on with Azure – A fully tested and supported integration using Microsoft's Azure Active Directory (Azure AD).
- Single Sign-on with Learning Tools Interoperability (LTI) 1.3 – A standardized authentication protocol designed for seamless integration with learning management systems (LMS).
This document outlines the setup, configuration, and best practices for implementing either of these authentication flows. Organizations can choose the method that best fits their infrastructure and security requirements.
Choosing the Right SSO Method
| Authentication Method | Supported Version | Status | Use Case |
|---|---|---|---|
| Azure SSO | Azure Active Directory | Fully Tested | Best for enterprise environments using Microsoft ecosystems. |
| LTI SSO | LTI 1.3 | Fully Supported | Best for educational institutions integrating with an LMS. |
Important Considerations
- Azure SSO is the only SSO method that has been fully tested and validated by our team. If you wish to integrate with other identity providers, further investigation and testing will be required before implementation.
- LTI SSO is supported exclusively for LTI 1.3. Earlier versions are not compatible with our platform.
